Cheap travel with social media
My Blog is about traveling with using social media which is so interesting in our life and I want to show you my experiences about my social media life during my traveling, like how you can book a ticket or how you can find hotels, tasty food, cheap and free apartments.
"Social media has slowly but surely permeated its way into the marketing strategies of nearly every business sector and the travel industry is no exception".
Exactly it is not a big news for some people, but it is my blog, about my life, I think it would be interesting for you guys!=))))))) Enjoy....!!

My first trip was in Turkey, Antalya. It was one of the most amazing cities that I have ever seen, I went there with my friends, and I spent a lot of money, for example, my fly ticket 500$ - 2 way, All inclusive 5* Hotel 1000$ for 1 week, until that time I didn't have any idea about social media benefits.
When I was 19 I got my first Schengen visa(EU visa) and I went to the Italy. I had some information about social media, my friends told me about Couchsurfing, it is about one group people who can give you one room on their own apartment free.

I was thinking about it, but I was there with my mom and that's why I start to look at other social media opportunities.
Then I got familiar with AirBnB, which is so helpful to find a cheap apartment in the center of the city.
AirBnb is a useful app because if you don't want to spend a lot of money for expensive hotel or house, you only need to download this app on your cellphone gadget and looking for house offer.
But personally I love Couchsurfing, Because it provides you a free place, you'll find new friends and amazing experience. Sometimes Couchsurfer (the people who registered there) can give you some advice about their city, transportation, historical and some modern places and etc.
So, then I went to Italy in the Rome city and after I decided to travel whole the country, but as I checked the flight tickets I felt that I'm gonna come back home =)))))) Because it made me so sad, oh God! it was so expensive and I was pretty out money and I only had 10 days to my starting classes. But suddenly I was thinking to send a message to Mark (my couchserfer) to ask him about solution and he introduced me Bla Bla Car which is for sharing the car costs with whom have same destination.
So I used the Bla Bla Car app and I went to the Milan city. Such a good guy, who was taken me to Milan told me about many wonderful places in the Milan, because I never been there before, and I got information about the free museum, architecture buildings and about modern Milan, one of them was Duomo.

So, my second Europe trip happened when I was 21 and I was more experienced than before. I found another Social Media app TripAdvisor. Actually my opinion, this social media one of the best, because you can find everything for travel: Hotels, Car Rentals, Flights, Restaurants and all things to do. I started to looking fly tickets and I found cheaper tickets than other websites or travel agency. Then I went to Munster, Germany.

And yes, it is close to Amsterdam and I suddently I remembered about Bla Bla Car and I found a cheap car, I just paid 15$ and went there.![]() |
| Amsterdam, Netherlands. |
But when I arrived to the Amsterdam I couldn't even imagine that everything would be expensive there.
I thaught Italy is the most expensive country between the European country, but no it wasn't true, but when you go there, you should be careful about your cost and use all of the discounts, which is you know or you should ask your friends, because so expensive.
Let me explain about a lot of free to do things there.
First of all i found this amazing social media app.
Groupon it is amazing app, which helps you find everything with big discounts -70%, 80%. You can find food, funs, tours, cars everything you want.
"You might be surprised to learn behind Amsterdam's Centraal train station there is a free ferry stop offering connections to a very different part of the city. It is just 15 minutes by ferry from the station. Another gret free thing to do in Amsterdam is to visit the permanent exhibition at the City Archives. The collection contains a quickly selection of mementos and artefacts which tell the history of the city.

Amsterdam is dotted with 'hofs'(tranquil inner countryyards between houses) which aren't always noticeable from the street. Heaving back a thick door can reveal a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle. One of the city's most famous hofs is the Beginjhof. Dating back to the 14th century, this is the perfect place to relax with a book or admire the architecture -all for nothing!"
My previous work was in the Standardization Ministry and I had a lot of business trips where I represented Azerbaijan at the UN. And my next trip to Pakistan, Islamabad.
It was an interesting trip to the Islamic Republic, where you can find only SPICY food...

I HATE SPICY FOOD!!!! Every breakfast, lunch, and dinner when I asked them: "It is spicy?" And they answered me: "No spicy!" And then when I tried it, daaaaaaaaamn, I need to go to the fire department =))))))
So, a couple month ago my friend told me about the food application, with a lot of reviews, rates, and prices. I downloaded this application there and found a lot of restaurants. This apps name is YELP. I found a lot of cheap places with this app.
It is interesting part of my life, if you were interested next time I will show you other countries which I was or I will explain you another social media apps and some details for each country
Thank you for your attention.

DeleteTravel is a good topic to discuss and reflect. I have felt about the social media value from any platforms dealing with traveling such as the Airbnb and TripAdvisor. When I travel with my friends, firstly think about any issues of living, places and the service but they give me the best choices and let me enjoy my trip all the time. I think you describe and analyze well for these platforms which can give you advice of trip and save money as well. Traveling is most expensive thing to do as you said but if we have the social media, any problems are solved especially for the money you paid. Most of American social platforms I'm interested like Yelp and Groupon, all of them offers directions and choices for me to think of restaurants, places, living and even any products I want to buy from here. You have an excellent connection with your topic and social media, also the marketing is the important part you discussed. Some of discussions can associate with the materials and lead your audience think critically, that will be more fine. You are a good blogger, congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your interest in my blog. I think you have a good experience with traveling and social media. thank's again, good luck=)))
